As discussed, you can’t get your bronze medallions from the club until you’ve done a defib course. We’ve arranged one for you on Tuesday 19th December 7 - 9pm. This is a very simple course - presentation, practical application and qualification in a couple of hours - but, as you know from the chain of survival, an essential part of first aid for someone needing CPR.
Please bring your COMPLETED workbooks in for collection and final signing on Wednesday. If you do not have a completed workbook, you cannot sit your Part A (dry) exam.
Some of you are doing your morning patrol tomorrow and I’ve said I’ll do a bit of revision on board rescues if you would like. Any of you are welcome to come down. I’m not sure what time yet but you can text me before about 9 a.m. on 0415 152 597.
We covered signals last night and we won’t cover them again: but they’re easy if you follow the pictures in the book.
We will cover radios once: next Wednesday. If you miss the session, you must prevail on a nice instructor to make extra time to catch you up before the exam on 29 November. You should do this in plenty of time because we have to arrange to get the radios unlocked to demonstrate.
The surf’s pretty exciting at North Steyne at the moment so I’ll be swimming again this afternoon, if any of you are free and fancy a workout. Excellent practice for the r-s-r.
