94 ILV - Kosher traffic lights in Waverley and Woollahra, Sydney
|
|
Sydney’s Waverley and Woollahra councils have agreed to install devices negating the need for orthodox Jews to press buttons to activate pedestrian crossings on the sabbath. To press a button is considered a breach of religious law by orthodox Jews as it is “work”. The decision will cost $20,000. What do we think? “They should just walk across the road and take their chances.” — Shane Tell your friends that listening to www.inlatteveritas.com is never work. |

Thanks for my birthday wishes. I have a new topic for discussion.
What do you do when a sibling relationship is all one way with regards to birthday and Christmas presents??
It’s the thought that counts isn’t it…

“Boy, if those folks want to organize their public life the way they want, they should just get their own damn country!”
I’m confident that if you have more than 5 minutes, someone would have gotten ’round to saying that. Alas, it’s most likely the same person who went on in a previous podcast about how dreadfully unfair the creation of the state of Israel was.
Go figure.
