On the freedom of speech ... my 2 cents.

In the U.S., the standard I grew up with was not freedom of "speech", but rather freedom of 'expression', and more to the point, that was meant to protect a free exchange of ideas. So, I ask you, where is the exchange of ideas when a guy walks up to a catholic function with a shirt that has a condom on it? Thats not exchanging ideas, that trying to hack people off, and you probably don't really care what they say in reply at the time.

IMHO Freedom of speech isn't free, it comes with the responsibility of listening to the other side.

Also, Telling people they can't piss off a crowd of teenagers is called preserving public order, another important job of the government.
