Breast feeding in public is the same as peeing in public. Yep, it maybe natural, but it is still a biohazzard. Body fluid is body fluid. It is time we stop abandoning common sense for political correct bs.

I respectfully disagree. One is waste elimination, one is dinner. What I would say is that discrete breastfeeding (some of the clothing designed for this is quite ingenious making it difficult to tell a held baby from a nursing one) is always as acceptable as an adult eating a sandwich. That said, I think there’s nothing wrong with someone who is made uncomfortable by this to ask that a blanket be used for additional cover. Of course if you’re made really uncomfortable, and there’s nobody nursing in the “family washroom”, perhaps you could bring your dinner there. ;^)
I find it rather funny that I have both argued in favour of women being allowed to both wear a burkha and to nurse in public in comments here. I think it comes, perhaps, from an attitude that what someone else chooses to wear or do isn’t my business and my discomfort does not necessitate a reaction on someone else’s part, nor should one be expected.
Of course temper this with the fact that as someone too liberal to stay in the US, and as a resident of Ontario (where going topless anywhere in public is legal), I could be completely full of BS myself.
But this discussion, and our differences do beg the question - in a highly diverse society, who defines our social mores? 100 years ago, we needed only ask our pastor what was appropriate. Now, some degree of tolerance is required but who makes this determination?

I just wanna say that i happen to be a ultra right wing conservative catholic who strongly 100% opposes breastfeeding in public, i feel that public breastfeeding is discraceful, i feel that its a big embarrasment for a women to expose her boobs puposely and not have any shame. Public breastfeeding is sexual indecent exposure tht should be condoned by a weak minded ignorant liberal society who is educating us the wrong way about values. When a weak minded liberal society condones this sexual obscene act such as public breastfeeding, how long will it be till society condones urinating-defacating in public somewhere along the line, thats a slippery slope from what i see here about indecency being a social norm. Public breastfeed needs to be stoped as a social norm because a society that doesnt care anymore and makes indecent exposore a social norm and condones it…we will endup losing a civilized society with no civilization or values. A real women with CLASS, MANNERS, DECENCY AND SHAME breastfeeds her baby in restaurant bathrooms or cars where its out of the way of the publics best interest. Any women who public breastfeeds is an ignorant, lowclass, uncivilized savage who wasnt taught the right way from her parents about manners, being civilized and being classy

Hi…i just wanna say that i happen to be 100%against breastfeeding in public, i find this act to be revolting and sexually obscene. Public breastfeeding is a primative behaviour which shows that we are not much different than Animals, we as a society needs to stop abandoning common sense that public breastfeeding is indecent behaviour and quit looking at this whole issue as womens rights political correctness Bull****. The trouble with our society is that its too liberal, we live in a liberal free society that teaches us as a new generation to be rude and impolite and to make it ok to be rude and impolite which is what public breastfeeding is. A liberal society is miseducating a new generation to socially accept this indecent, lowclass, primative behaviour to where we are becoming more like ignorant savages and plus lose a civilized society with no moral values. These liberal womens rights lactivist are doing everything they can to indoctrinate a new generation in the 21th century of the bad ways which we should look at as social mores. Lactivist are a poison to this country and they set a bad example for all breastfeeding stay-at-home-moms, the ideal traditional conservative breastfeeding mother, usually stays at home with her children to breastfeed, or to show some class by breastfeeding her baby in a restaurant bathroom to show some honor and respect for all restaurant customers. Any women who has class would do that, public breastfeeding needs to be banned in all 50 states to make America a decent more civilized country with good moral values since the pilgrims came out here. Public indecent exposure such as breastfeeding in public is eroding our society, which is contributing this moral breakdown in our society. A society who believes in manners and decency would and can make a difference by signing petitions to have laws passed to make public indecent exposure illegal such as public breastfeeding by getting involved in the Republican convention. Public breastfeeding is a ugly, shameful, dirty, sexually explicit act that makes all women look bad and makes the ideal traditional conservative breastfeeding mother look bad. Public indecent exposure is whats hurting the moral fabrics of America’s values , because it used to be at one time or a nother that breastfeeding was done behind closed doors and remained a mystery. People knew about breastfeeding back in the 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s era, it just wasnt veiwed out in public to push it in our face sort of thing which gave women a sense of dignity, decency and class. I dont have a problem at all with breastfeeding or nursing in public, i only support nursing in public, but only with the acception of a babybottle, just not THERE KIND of nursing in public of how Lactivist want it to be as an arrogant push-it-in-your-face-boobs sort of attitude. Like i already said before, lactivist dont set good examples for every breastfeeding women out there, they are bad role models for every idealistic conservative, traditional stay-at-home breastfeeding mother out there. Lactivist are hateful (make-trouble-for-you-people) bunch of scumbag militant groups that have really made a big embarrasment for all decent breastfeeding mothers out there and made a big embarrasment for themselves. These nurse-in-mother lactivist need to be repelled from our society and deserve a shot of pepper spray in there eyes for making business hard for Delta company when they sit around with no life to hold up signs for a big demonstration all because some lowclass trash like Emily Gillette couldnt take responsibilitys for her actions to use discretion or to take it to a bathroom. Public breastfeeding does tend to creepout restaurant-store customers and also makes business look bad, it gives a restaurant-store establishment a bad image. Women should feel a sense of shame, embarrasment, awkwardness and feeling out of place before doing something discraceful like that. If our screwy liberal government and senators are having legislation passed to have public indecent exposure such as public breastfeed legal just about anywhere including the workforce, how long will it be till laws are being passed to urinate-defacate in public. In france its perfectly legal to urinate in public and could very well be like that in America with the rate of socially accepting public breastfeeding to be a social norm

Desiree…lets stop with the NATURAL BULL**** OK!!!!, just because breastfeeding is natural, that doesnt mean we should conduct that out in public veiw. Urinating/masturbating is just as natural as breastfeeding and just as equally offensive as breastfeeding when done out in public, but should we recommend masturbating or urinating to be done in public??

Sean, I can see you’re still bullying women everywhere you can get on a blog or a forum that deals with breastfeeding. With all of your bullying have you convinced one single person that your stand on this is right?
Folks, the troll you know here as “Sean” has been kicked off of Buzznet for the second time. He was there previously under the name “Batonclub” and his behavior became so offensive, including making threats against females in their early teens, that he was removed and blocked on 6/4/2007. This is all a matter of record on their forums.

Early on 6/17/2007 (Fathers’ Day), he signed in under the new name of “Catmain” and began to again dump his offensive viewpoints on people there in a forum on breastfeeding. He again began attacking young females, using the same bullying tactics that he’s used all over the ‘Net. He was removed by the SysAdmins this evening, who are now tracking him by his IP addresses.
I’m posting this here as an alert to all women of all ages, because he doesn’t seem to have any limits on who he will go after. His original logins were from Fairfield, California, but now he seems to be located in the area west of Metro Boston.
If you see him in other blogs or forums, pass the word so that others, especially teenagers or young mothers, aren’t verbally attacked by him.

Frasier is my favorite Tv present of all time. Now I can see reruns anytime I want to thanks to the World wide web. I Get Cracked Porn Site Logins. within the way to function, for the way residence, even though eating dinner and even while working. My loved ones thinks I am crazy and really wants me to see a person. They believe I’m addicted to the World-wide-web and particularly this show. I don’t think it is that very much of a difficulty, but my wife certainly does. She got so mad the other night she threw something at my laptop. Maybe I do demand help as I don’t desire to lose my wife and kids. Tonight I’m likely to ask her to make an appointment with somebody for that two of us.
