68 ILV - Freedom of speech
![]() |
Sheikh Taj el-Din al-Hilali, Australia’s top muslim cleric, recently compared women who do not wear muslim dress to “uncovered meat”. In a speech he said, “If you take uncovered meat and put it on the street, on the pavement, in a garden, in a park or in the backyard, without a cover and the cats eat it, is it the fault of the cat or the uncovered meat? The uncovered meat is the problem.”
We ask whether it is possible to have too much freedom of speech. “Everyone’s becoming so politically correct and paranoid.” — John V.
