Why you want to subscribe to this podcast

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

“Subscribing” to a podcast isn’t like subscribing to a magazine or even an email newsletter. Firstly, it’s absolutely free. Secondly, you don’t have to give us any of your details – not your name, your email address, nothing.

Subscribing to a podcast simply means telling your computer that you like this podcast and you would like future episodes to download automatically to your computer until you tell it to stop.

Most people use iTunes to do this. It’s free (you can download it here), reliable, easy-to-use and from a reputable company (Apple) so you know it will work properly and not install any nasties on your machine. Once you have iTunes installed, just click here and hey presto you’re “subscribed”.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe in iTunes anytime you want. You never have to come back to this website and you’ve given away none of your personal information. There’s no login name or password to remember. You just delete us from iTunes or the other software you use.

Let’s do it

If you click the button to subscribe, we won’t know any more about you than we do right now (i.e. nothing) and you won’t have made any commitment to us. All that will happen is that iTunes will check back with this website at least once a day to check for new episodes. If there are new episodes, it will download them automatically. Go on, you know you want to… click it

If you don’t use iTunes, you can cut and paste this link into the software you do use: http://www.breakawaycontent.com/ilv/wordpress/feed

John’s got a goblet on him

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

John VerhoevenIt’s just possible that John has mentioned on the show that he’s an antique dealer. Yesterday he got hold of a goblet he’s very pleased with and this morning he brought it to breakfast. We felt it deserved a special tribute: so would you if you’d heard the story that goes with it.
