As a university teacher I can fully sympathise with you Steven. It always amazes me when my students complain about the lack of direction they have been given regarding assignments etc. When I enquire, I find that the have not read the TWENTY page handout that covers everything they would ever need to know.

I think that some people just need to be told the same thing every day for six months in order to hear it. I blame TV advertising: it seems we need to get our information in often-repeated two minute bursts to understand it.
